What this is

GeoGear Tools is a set of computation and drafting aids for land surveyors. It assists a licensed professional. It does not replace one, and nothing it produces is a survey.

By using the tools, free or paid, you agree to these terms. If you are using them for a firm, you confirm you can bind that firm.

You remain responsible for your own work product, your state board rules, and anything you sign or seal.

Your account

Keep your login credentials to yourself. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Give us accurate account information and keep your email current. It is how we reach you about purchases and service changes.

Credits and payment

COGO and the Coordinate tools are free and need no account. The Legal Description Plotter runs on credits: you buy a pack, and each parse spends one credit.

A parse is automatically refunded if it fails to plot. Credits do not expire. There is no subscription and no setup fee.

Purchases are billed at the prices posted on the pricing page. If prices change, the new price applies only to purchases you make after the change.

Your data

Documents, deeds, and project data you upload stay yours. We take only the limited license needed to run the tools on them for you.

All AI inference runs on GeoGear’s own hardware. Client documents are not sent to third-party model providers. See the privacy page for detail.

Acceptable use

Use the tools for working-surveyor volumes, not automated bulk pipelines. If your usage looks like a scraper, we may throttle it and email you.

No reselling access, no reverse-engineering the service, and no using the tools to build a competing parser from our outputs.

No professional liability

The tools are provided as-is. We do not warrant that any output is fit for recording, conveyance, construction, or boundary resolution without review by a licensed surveyor.

GeoGear carries no professional liability for survey decisions made with tool output. Our total liability under these terms is capped at the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes and contact

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, with notice where practical.

We may update these terms as the service grows. Material changes will be announced on the site or by email before they take effect.
